Please note that some schools and institutions are yet to acknowledge receipt as requested. Peace Corps delivered all of the books this time. From the last year’s shipment only URD has a few books left in their store and the new PCV posted there is working on distributing them before the end of the school year.

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Ebrima M. Camara. I am in Grade 6 in Karantaba Lower Basic School. I am writing to thank you for the books you sent to our school. The book I take I enjoy it and we read the books which you sent. Our school is T.I.P.E. school and many trees are there and plant. I am very happy with this books. I like “Magic Fish” in library and “I Shop with My Daddy.”

Sincerely,
Ebrima M. Camara

Dear Shelby Tarutis and GambiaHELP,

Here at Karantaba Lower Basic School, we have just received our second shipment of books from your organization. The books are beautiful, and we are so thrilled to add them to the shelves of our little library. This year our library/literacy program has really blossomed.

The community volunteers are in the final stages of completing a new building to house our library, and we can’t wait to move in! Teachers are really making use of the library this year, which has become their main (only) source for staff development. Students are thrilled to finally be able to check books out and take them for reading at home. All these positive changes have been made possible by donors such as you, and we send a heartfelt thank you, for all the work you do.

We look forward to your continued support. From you friends at Karantaba Lower Basic School – Region 5, Sami District…. Thank You! Abaraka Bake! Jerrijif! Jarama Brri!

Sincerely,

Teachers and Students, Karantaba LBS and
Jainaba Camara, US Peace Corps Volunteer
