Last year, Ansumana Sanneh, the Headmaster at DKK School asked GH for assistance in building a dining hall for students. The children were eating on the ground and from group feeding bowls. The risk associated with transmission of communicable disease was high and the exposure to the elements often resulted in food contamination. The school area is very sandy and on windy days food contamination is a problem. The dining hall has been completed with an input of $800.00 from GambiaHELP. The hall can seat 115 children. Their current request is for plates. This has an estimated cost of $100.00.
